Planning Committee Meeting Minutes

Chairman – Parrish Wright calls meeting to order

NOTARIES – No Notaries

PUBLIC COMMENTS – Andy -EMS, Brandon Boone – USDA, re-hire previous employee because of raise.                                                              

RESOLUTIONS – Res 1: EMA Director approval for 1 year.

Res 2: Appoint Complex Park Director – Bylaw discussion about posting job.

Res 3: Resolution for Budget Resolution for Sanitation. Winton asked for $1 increase across the board for employees with $39,000 total.

Res 4: E-911 new road name off Fletcher Ridge

Res 5: E-911 new road name off Benton Tidwell Rd

Res 6: E-911 new road name off Western Way

Res 7: Budget amendment for General Fund – Note from Donna Hamilton read by Mayor Reagan. Multiple Grants – New Revenue and Reserve Fund Balance discussion.

Res 8: Budget amendment for Clay County Hwy construction funding.

City Alderman, Mike Boles spoke about working together on the Veteran’s Memorial Wall. Also requesting money to help fund that wall and possibly a “Veterans Park”. Discussion city VS county veterans on wall. Also discussed Veteran Service Officer and who are VFW members. Mayor Reagan discussed past resolution, concurring wall and procurement process. Then all discussed the finance side and Winton talked about the $40,000 from previous resolution. Mayor Reagan also talked about grant funding. They decided to recycle the resolution from previous for the $40,000.                                                                                                                                      +
